According to Toronto Real Estate Board, Greater Toronto Realtors reported 4,353 sales through the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) during the first two weeks of March 2010.
To compare to the same time last year, the sales are up for 70% (2,562 sales) and 16% more than number of sales in 2006.
One of the reasons that the sales are up is the good weather that we had in March.
The average price for March mid-month transactions in GTA was $440,153 - 20% increase over the same period in 2009. New listings within the Toronto Real Estate Board boundaries were up 34% to 8,540.
